I've been busy with my work, however getting back to this. I do think you can take very nice pictures with night vision, you just need to work with it (with the manual settings on the camera). You can use alot of automatic cameara settings, however not all the time. For example, I find it best to set the focus to manual, focus the objective lens of the NVD, and then set the camera to macro auto. Here are a few, taken with a gen 3 D-300.

The first one is of Tom, my seventh and final cat, sitting on the porch swing. It is pretty dark, the only light comes from a neighbor who has a string of Christmas lights (in college towns people leave them up all year). There are no street lights. You can see by his dialated eyes that it is dark. Good looking boy, is he not?

I'm going to take some pics of my Snow Bengals with my PVS-14 and post them on here if i can get the buggers to stay still
