Pics of Mini 14 with SHP xx1441 tube from DEP

Postby iggy » Fri May 30, 2008 8:40 am

Here are some pics of the Mini 14 I recieved from OpticsHQ via Jelena from prague.
Havnt had time to realy take some dark pics and the camera work is just holding.
Added the daytime versions of the pics
Added a comparison pic of a old (thinking Sovjet era) Russian Gen 1 scope called a "cyclop 1" with about 3x mag but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the comments, the specs I recieved.

Mini14 2SHP
Inside is the tube type XX1441 2nd Gen (typical resolution 64 till 72 lp/mm).

The pics were taken with a low end digital camera held by hand up to the eye piece, the resolution is better in real life but its just difficult to hold correctly.
For the rest no data card, but I like the scope and it serves all I would need from it (I live in the Netherlands and am limited in the choises of tubes).

Anyway i'll be making some pics through the rifle scope ( the one's I did last night turned out blurred because of the difficult hold )

Just adding the some scope pics, as i do not have a scope adapter it was a difficult one to do, in real life i have to say the image is better and the Bushnell has the better image.

Scopes used:
Bushnell 4200 8-32x40 (medium price range scope)
MTC Viper 6-24x56 (low-medium pricerange)
Range is 25 meters

The scope's could not really make out the target exept a white smudge of the pellet trap (you would not be able to take a shot exept maybe with the bushnell on minimum mag and then only if you had a nice black on white target)
In the 32x pic of the bushnell a weird effect starts happening as can be seen in the center of the image anybody know what this is?
