NVG7-3 "A" or "B" ?

Postby Geezer » Mon May 02, 2005 2:06 pm

I am looking at buying an ATN NVG7-3B which has blemishes but "won't effect the viewing area". Does anyone know how BAD can these blemishes be. Can they be lived with? I can't justify paying another $1400. to get the "A" blemish free tube. I won't be taking any pictures through the goggles so a blemish or two shouldn't hurt. Does anyone know how many blemishes will I expect on average.

Those pesky blemishes.. This is one of those things where you can never know.

You may want to ask the vendor if they can tell you what the spots look like and where they are located.

I have seen tubes which are just horrid in terms of blemishes.. do not quite know if they were B grade. However I can tell you that some spots do not bother you, others, no matter how you try can ruin your day.

Difficult question... I have seen pretty nice B-Grade with nearly no spots, but also unusable and terribly bad B-Grade. Ask the vendor for a picture with white background. Be careful with those tubes!
