re-vamped NVD

Postby Echo2 » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:18 pm

The housing on one of my PVS-14s was basically being held together with epoxy....So I replaced the housing with one from ABNight Vision.

Went to Adam's shop today and it was basically a NVD Toys-R-Us. He did a slim line conversion on the objective lens for me....and I just got it together a little while ago.

It's been fascinating to watch Adams designs change through the years, becoming more refined with each model.

Here's one of his very first housings, a battery box that mounted to a single AVS tube housing:

I went to his shop to pick up the housing.....it was like a NVG toys r us.

His new housings are single piece and very well made.

I have one of these housings too...

If I remember correctly, the slim NVM-9 you have uses the CR2 battery making it one of the lightest units. The "AA" unit is a close second I think.

All the units I currently have run CR123. Had the bug to buy a couple hundred so better make use of them.

The Micro is equipped with a Computar TV/CCTV lens, while the other on is equipped with an AVS-9 (F4949R) class "B" objective.
