Hi all, just curious if a ir laser flashlight is ok to use for gen 2? Just want to make sure it isn't to bright for the tube. Has anyone used one? Are they worth the $350 or should I get a high quality ir led flashlight instead? My purpose is to light up the area I'm in the best I can with a hand held device that is real ir and not a filter. Thanks. -Bryan

Unless you are looking for very long range illumination I'd advise staying with LED IRs as they give a much wider & cleaner beam. Lasers are also near useless in wooded terrain.
Try to get an LED IR 'lamp' with an adjustable beam & pref. adjustable power.
