I purchased an "acog" adapter from Peter Lesbo pvs14builder@yahoo.com and used it with an American Defense rail mount

works very well for my gen 3 PVS-4....Which I'm currently selling to fund a Thermal scope

This may sound like a dumb question, but I know nothing about the PVS-4. Does it use STANAG mounts?

Cheers

The PVS-4 was designed to mount on top of an AR-15/M-16 rifle. It's got a rectangle male mount bolted on the main housing, that fits into the AR-15 carry handle slot and is retained by a special bolt. The mount is aprox: 2 1/4" or 58mm long, 5/8" or 15mm high, 1/2" or 13mm wide. The 2 hole mount spacing is approx: 1" or 25mm. It has a slight raised ridge that the male mount centers on. There are some PVS-4 to STANAG adapters out there. I'd like to get one for my G-3 and MG-3 Lafette. There is also a USGI PVS-4 to M-14 mount adapter bracket.

Its not that strange after all.
The russian 1PN51 looks a bit similar.

Just rare and expensive, sadly.
