ENOSA VNP-009

Has this Spanish surplus unit been discussed here? I tried to search and found nothing.
I understand it has an 18mm GEN2 tube that is uncommon and not upgradable to GEN3. I was thinking of selling mine and wanted to get the facts straight. Thanks

I've never heard of them until now, they look almost like PVS-4's. From what i've read online they use an Phillips Mulard XX1500 tube made in the UK but out of production approx 6 yrs ago. Apparently no other tube can be retrofitted. Off AR15 com: "Its 18mm only refers to the input diameter and no other modern types will fit.
Even if it did the ENOSA uses a fiber input window so if you could together a 18mm tube to fit , it wouldn't focus."

Which is too bad, I have the objective lens from a TVS-5 but finding a PVS-4 body to go on it is problematic here in Canada. It sounds like the VNP-009's may have the same mounting pattern to the main lens as the PVS-4's.
