Laser rangefinders

Postby bushwacker » Mon Jan 30, 2006 6:27 pm

I have use for a laser rangefinder for investigative (PI) purposes. I don't need anything super high-tech or gun-mounted- a handheld will do. One model that has come up is the Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout 450. It has 4x magnification and is accurate to +/- 1m with a range of 5-999m. Im looking for features, but I also don't want to spend more than $200 on this. Below are some links with addtional info:

Price: http://tinyurl.com/b8tdu (Is on PriceGrabber)
Product Desc.: http://tinyurl.com/akx8l (Bushnell Website)

Remember, I don't do any hunting, etc. so mostly I would be using this for spotting large objects and nothing smaller than perhaps a person. Also, I do a fair ammount of backpacking, and having accurate landmark distance readings would be very helpful as well.
