anyone here using thermal for daytime?

I'm about to upgrade my thermal sight and was wondering if anyone else here is using thermal imaging for their weapon sighting needs both day and night. I haven't seen much more than 2x magnification which is disappointing after using the helicopter flir system which seems to zoom forever at 700 feet AGL with a stabilized lock to the searchlight so passive observation can be switched to active illumination once ground troops arrive. I guess you get some more bells for the $200K pricetag on the system. For the $10-25K pricetag on the thermal sights it just seems like they should do a little more, realizing the difficulties with thermal lenses.

Give it a few days, and we will list a multi-purpose system on that will give you up to 8.4x (with an optional lens) for a very reasonable price (as far as thermal goes)
