Hi Spuddy,

make sure that you get a laser with the correct wavelength.
A wrong wavelength could make the beam invisible to your NV gadget.
Don't ask me what wavelength would be correct for you.
Somebody else knows perhaps?

Bertie.

The unit in your photo (N351/N800 etc) is emitting ~785nm, the Dipol L3 would be around 810nm & your 'Digital Mono' will probably be able to work with IR light right up to 1000nm. The big problem is finding a unit above 840nm - they're pretty rare & lasers even rarer
I believe 'Laserluchs' (which aren't actually lasers :? ) make some units around the 890nm area & Thomas Jacks may have them listed (http://www.thomasjacks.co.uk/subgroup.asp?ids=7) but they are available in Germany, which is their country of origin.

For a laser things get tough, this outlet used to show one or two 900+nm lasers but I haven't noticed them recently...

BTW - The US has severe restrictions on IR lasers, Spuddy, they are not allowed to be retailed to the US public.

That is your revenge against us for our tube policy's.
I said I never had much use for one. Never said I didn’t know how to use it.
