Scratch on front plastic input lens on a MX-9916/uv

How do you fix a scratch on the front lens. Seems to be plastic.

Do you meand the imput window of the tube. It is glass fiber optic. Needs to be ground out an polished. Not something to do at home without the right equipment.

If it's not severe, or deep, then it's about as difficult as repolishing a watch face - Just do it by hand and take your time.

Get some good quality glass polish - as fine as you can get it - At least 8000 or finer -

Then just polish it by hand, trying to get equal pressure over the entire surface.

I know it's tempting to use a dremel or similar tool - Don't. Just hand polishing is enough for all but the worst scratches.

Though keep in mind that polishing a tube may require that you repot it afterwards - after all, you are forcing water under the boot.
